Painter Pants

For years I have sat back and said nothing about my disdain for denim's of this variety. These pants have pockets in the most awkward of spots, so I could never think of a practical use for them. They are commonly referred to as painter's pants, and I can't stand them.

The pocket, designed for a painter to have some where to stash his brush to allow for wiping of the brow, has little practical use. It is too far away from your ears to stash a cd/iPod/mp3 player in, and is too deep and narrow for objects like money. It is at too awkward a spot to put a pencil, for the tip will generally break off on the inside of the pocket in the course of the tradition walking motion. It is too exposed to stash a firearm or any sort of drug paraphenalia. As you can see, little use can come of this unsightly pocket. It is almost as useless as that little loop 3/4 of the way up the pants leg.

I don't care for how one pocket is generally layered on top of another. If only an incredibly small number of uses can be found for pocket one, few remain for pocket two. It is also pretty gaudy looking and lame.

...and who paints anyway. The only practical use for painters pants can be found in the realm of painting, yet they are rarely employed for such a practice. They are the most misused article of clothing of all time, and I am sick of it.

Kenny G

Now call me crazy, but I love me some good jazz music. I love the smooth, sultry sounds, laid back atmosphere, and the sensuality. I love the brass instruments, as well as the winwoods. With this being said, one can understand why I love Kenny G. He is all of these qualities personified. Kenny G embodies what good jazz music is. He plays his saxaphone as though he is making love to a beautiful woman; every note perfectly crafted... compelling and rich.

For the most part, Kenny G flies solo, but in 2004 he released a duet album entitled "At Last... The Duets Album." This is the album which is responsible for my favorite of all Kenny G songs, Careless Wisper ft. Brian McKnight. When I hear McKnight's deep, soothing voice accompanied by Kenny G's sultry saxaphone, I feel as though I am seated in a dimly lit jazz club, sipping a White Russian, totally lost in the music. This is the power of Kenny G.

My favorite works include
  • Careless Wisper ft/ Brian McKnight
  • I Like the Way you Move ft/ Earth, Wind, and Fire
  • The Wedding Song
  • Songbird
  • Forever in Love
  • The Sound of Silence
  • Summer time
  • Brahm's Lullaby
  • I Will Always Love You (instrumental cover)

These are just a few titles, but the list goes on and on. Do yourself a favor and idulge in a little Kenny G. Do not let the stigma to which young people associate jazz music sway your decision. Listening to Kenny G will improve life expectancy, potentcy, and skin complexion. That's a documented fact.

Whether you are by yourself or are getting romantic with a man or woman, Kenny G will be sure not to disappoint.

Congrats, what a great game

Congrats to Penn State, its fans, students and future students. That was one hell of a game. If your team can keep me up watching till 1am, ill throw some respect your way anyday of the week. Wow what a great game. I may hate Penn State, but I loved what I just saw.

3 overtimes!?! You lack a pulse if you dont enjoy stuff like that.

To clarify about my previous post. I was complaining about the casual penn state fan who pretends that they are a hardcore fan. I know there are alot of true diehard fans and there are some casual fans. I respect both, some people have loved penn state since birth, and others enjoy cheering for a local college team. I have a problem with the casual fan who decides they are a diehard when the team is winning. I realize alot of teams have fans like this, I just think its more prevelant among Penn State Fans, which may be due to the fact I live in the state they play in. I casually cheer for the local college basketball teams, but I dont pretend I have loved them since I was born. I respect the love of penn state by the majority of its fans. I just disagree with the people who pretend they are more of a fan than they really are depending on the teams success.

WE ARE! PENN STATE? NO YOUR FRONT RUNNERS

Ever since I can remember I have loved football, but have hated Penn State football. I believe when younger I hated Penn State Football for basically no reason. Now that I am older the countless number of Penn State shirts I saw today reminded me why I dislike that football team. I cant stand the front runners. Now I don’t mean all the Fans, there are a lot of diehard legit Penn State Football fans out there and I respect your passion for your team. The fans I cant stand are the people who didn’t wear a Penn State shirt once last year. The fans that repeatedly called for legendary coach Joe Paterno to retire last season. The fan that watched less than 5 games last year. The fan that has now supported the team because they are winning, but was silent during their 4 win season last year. This may be a small percentage of the actual fan base, but I have ecountered too many fair weather Penn State fans in my lifetime. I also think that WE ARE PENN STATE chant is incredibly lame and lacks an alcohol reference that is a must in any college football activity. Florida States' war chant actually sounds like a war chant.

Mr Pelesky and I have battled since I was like 8 years old about who is better Penn State and Florida State. This will be the first time in our rivalry they have played each other. This is the real reason I hate Penn State. I have liked Florida State since I was a small child because of the colors and they had Warrick Dunn/Deion Sanders. Mr. Pelesky helped fuel my love for the team by constantly telling me they stink. They also sent me a nice Christmas card this year ( not a holiday card, but a Christmas card). I think its fair to say I don’t like Penn State and Penn State fans don’t like Florida State, so lets rumble at 8 pm in Miami, let the best team win, Go Seminoles!

XBOX 360

Video game technology has come a long way since my very first gaming console, NES. Long gone are the days where you only saw the right side of Mario's face, or pulled the trigger on that orange handgun. The new wave of game technology has arrived in the form of XBOX 360, and I for one am not down with it.

First off, I noticed something within the title, XBOX 360. The 360 is a reference to 360 degrees, or a complete circle. With this in mind, XBOX 360 is the exact same thing as XBOX, with the path around the circle returning to its place of origin.

As with all video game systems, XBOX360 will soon be obsolete. The 360 uses the aging DVD format, while Sony's PlayStation 3 employs next-generation Blu-ray discs, which are capable of storing several times more data than standard DVDs and can play back high-definition movies as well. My loyalty lies with Sony, and Playstation, not Bill fucking Gates. Also, I am under the impression the 360 is not backwards compatible, meaning it can't play XBOX games. That kind of sucks too.

Price is also an issue. Anything that costs 500 clams should stimulate the senses so much that you could actually climax with the touch of a button. If XBOX360 cannot do this, then I am not interested. I will wait for PS3 to come out, and do the same thing I did for PS2.... wait until it comes down in price. I have more important things to spend half a grand on... like college.

XBOX360 just isn't worth waiting in huge lines for hours on end, and spending a couple paychecks on. And whoever left a message in our comment section cleverly bragging about it, should stop, lock themselves in a dark room, and play XBOX360 continuously until they suffer an aneurism.
